Abstract

The aim of this article is to compare the incidence of secondary caries between amalgam and composite restorative materials. The Presence and progression of such caries predict the success and longevity of restorations.

Objective: The aim of this to compare the incidence of secondary caries between amalgam and composite restorative materials.

Conclusion: Although there are many factors beside the restorative material that increase the risk of secondary caries, performance of amalgam restorations was better than composite.
